Dyslexia Screening

For young learners in Kindergarten and early first grade

Learning to read is one of the most complex tasks a young brain undertakes. For some children, the process doesn't click as easily as it does for others. We offer specialized dyslexia screening for early elementary school children who are showing signs of struggle with early literacy—such as difficulty with letter sounds, rhyming, or recognizing common words.

Early identification is the most powerful tool we have to prevent long-term academic frustration. This screening is especially vital if there is a family history of reading or writing difficulties, as dyslexia often has a genetic component.

If you are applying for advanced academic programs or private school admissions, standardized intellectual assessment may be needed. We provide expert administration of the most widely recognized and respected assessments:

WPPSI-IV: For children in the Preschool/Kindergarten years
WISC-V: For children and adolescents ages 6 to 16.

Our testing environment is designed to help your child feel comfortable and perform their best. Following the session, you will receive a professional report that meets the rigorous requirements of admissions boards and AAP or gifted programs.

We provide a clear breakdown of your child’s cognitive profile, including verbal reasoning, fluid reasoning, visual spatial skills, working memory, and processing speed, to help you make informed decisions about their educational future.

Testing at a Glance

Our IQ and admissions testing is streamlined for your convenience while maintaining the highest clinical standards.

Initial Consultation: A brief parent interview to discuss your child’s history and any specific school requirements.
The Testing Session: Approximately 2 hours of 1-on-1 testing in a quiet, distraction-free environment.
Comprehensive Report: A formal document detailing all scores and subtests (WPPSI-IV or WISC-V) suitable for admissions boards.
Feedback Session: A brief follow-up to review the results and answer your questions.

Flat Fee: $500 (Includes all materials, administration, and the final report)

Targeted & Abbreviated Evaluations

We understand that not every situation requires a full, comprehensive battery of tests. Sometimes, a more focused approach is the most effective and efficient way to get the answers you need.

An abbreviated evaluation may be the right fit if:

Recent Prior Testing: Your child has had a full evaluation in the last year or so years, but specific questions remain or new concerns have surfaced.
Updated Accommodations: You need current data to maintain or update an IEP, 504 Plan, or private school accommodations.
Targeted Follow-Up: You are looking to monitor progress in one specific area (such as reading fluency or executive functioning) after a period of intervention.

These evaluations are shorter in duration and offered at a lower cost than our comprehensive packages.
