Counseling
Practical strategies and caring support for life’s challenges
Therapy services for children, teens, and college age young adults

Counseling provides a supportive space for children, teens, and families to explore experiences, emotions, relationships, and challenges. With the guidance of a trained professional, clients gain new perspectives and practical tools that lead to positive changes.

Families often seek therapy when a child is experiencing anxiety, low mood, difficulties with friendships, challenges managing behavior or emotions, trouble adjusting to school demands or life transitions, or when parents simply want to help their child build resilience and confidence. Our services can benefit children, teens, parents, and young adults alike.

Our therapeutic approach draws from several methods, with a strong foundation in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). We focus on strategies that help clients and caregivers think more flexibly, better understand their world, build stronger relationships, and handle life’s challenges with confidence.

We also recognize the important role of parents and caregivers in the process. Because you are your child’s most consistent source of support, your involvement helps ensure that progress made in sessions carries over into daily life. We work with you to share strategies, reinforce new skills, and better understand your child’s needs—strengthening relationships and empowering families long after therapy ends.

Appointments are available both in person and virtually to fit your family’s needs. Currently, we have limited in-person availability for teens, and virtual appointments for a wider age range. We are licensed to treat anyone in Virginia.

We understand that therapy is an investment in your child future. Details on fees can be found here.
